Dino Dino (Mobile App)

bildundtonfabrik and Paläontologische Gesellschaft create dinosaur app for kids

Since their discovery about 200 years ago, the fascination for dinosaurs has been unbroken. On the initiative of bildundtonfabrik from Cologne, the Paläontologische Gesellschaft has therefore participated in the development of a dinosaur app for children. The content is at the cutting edge of science and represents the current research around the former inhabitants of our planet. The project was expertly supported by Prof. Dr. Oliver Rauhut (LMU Munich, SNSB), Prof. Dr. Dino Frey (SMNK) and Prof. Dr. Benjamin Bomfleur (WWU Münster), under the coordination of Felix Saupe (WWU Münster).

With Dino Dino, young dinosaur fans get the opportunity to travel back in time to the giant lizards and satisfy their hunger for knowledge in a playful way. The way of life, the appearance as well as other important basic information about the different dinosaur species can be illuminated in lovingly designed mini-games and invite young and old explorers to discover. Each unlocked new dinosaur reveals new information about itself and even if no one is on hand to read the texts to the children, the app can quench their thirst for knowledge and reads aloud itself.
