Bolzano/Bozen (Italy) on 19-23.07.2026

We are pleased to announce the upcoming Joint Meeting of the Palaeontological Societies of Austria, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland, which will bring together researchers from all fields of palaeontology to foster scientific exchange and collaboration across borders.

We invite proposals for scientific symposiaand workshops that address current and emerging topics in palaeontology and related disciplines. Symposium organizers are encouraged to develop multidisciplinary and integrative themes that stimulate discussion and collaboration among researchers from different fields, time periods, and methodological backgrounds.

To promote international cooperation, each symposium or workshop should be convened by at least two organizers from different participating societies. Collaborative proposals that bridge research traditions, institutions, or disciplines are particularly welcome.

Symposium and workshop proposals should include:

  • Title of the symposium

  • Names, affiliations, and contact information of the convenors

  • A short summary (max. 300 words) outlining the theme, scope, and relevance of the symposium

  • (Optional) A brief list of potential invited speakers

The steering committee will review all proposals based on their originality, scientific relevance, and contribution to cross-disciplinary and international exchange.

Please submit your proposals by 15.12.2025 to evelyn.kustatscher(at)tiroler-landesmuseen.at.

Notification of acceptance will be sent by 15.01.2025.

We look forward to your inspiring ideas and to an exciting, diverse, and collaborative programme that reflects the richness and breadth of palaeontological research in our societies.
